Desiccant Bags
 Sphinx Adsorbents, Inc., of Springfield, Mass., now offers Sphinx Container Dri® II Bags, a line of desiccant bags for use inside shipping containers to prevent cans from rusting, labels from peeling off packages, and other moisture damage. Available with or without adhesive backings in 50- and 125-gm bags, Sphinx Container Dri II Bags are constructed of tearresistant Tyvek and feature a nontoxic desiccant which can absorb up to 280 percent of its own weight. The bags trap water vapor in the interior of the bag where it becomes a thick gel. The manufacturer recommends using 32 of the 125-gm bags for a standard 20-foot shipping container.
