Hawaii Self Storage Programs Benefit The Community
Hawaii Self Storage is committed to giving back to the local community through a number of programs. Staff members recently delivered 160 new books to first graders at Kapolei Elementary School as part of the company’s Lockers for Literacy program. Since the program began in 2007, Hawaii Self Storage has donated 2,650 new books to 13 elementary schools, including 700 new books delivered in 2010 alone. The books are distributed to students who are allowed to keep them as their own.
The company has also launched a new program to help local residents. The Hawaii Self Storage Community Pride Fundraising program contributes funds to local groups who connect their supporters with the storage facility to rent lockers. The contributions, from $16 to $625 per locker rented, renew annually as long as the person rents the locker.
