Hawaii Self Storage Awards 12 Scholarships

Hawaii Self Storage has awarded scholarships worth up to $4,000 to 12 public high school students from Oahu. Each will receive annually renewable $1,000 awards for a maximum of two years for associate degrees and four years for bachelor’s degrees. The company started the scholarship program in 2004.

In addition to the scholarship, all applicants receive a free month of storage to help them with their college transition.

“We’ve made it our mission to help the community, and we support programs aimed at enhancing literacy, education, and teamwork among Hawaii’s youth,” says Daniel Ho, Hawaii Self Storage president.

Hawaii Self Storage also announced a new program, Rent to Charity, where all new customers have the option to donate their first month’s rent to the non-profit organization of their choice.

The company is budgeting $10,000 in advertising to promote Rent to Charity.
