Storage Facility Raises Funds For Habitat

East Frederick Self Storage in Frederick, Md., hosted a yard sale to benefit the Frederick chapter of Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build project. Between 10 and 15 vendors sold items at the facility, according to Stephen Conner, property manager. Items such as sofas, paintings, tables, chairs, phones, and electronics were donated for the event. For several years, the facility has hosted a fundraiser to benefit an area charity, Conner says. Last year, the company raised about $4,000 for muscular dystrophy. Women Build helps encourage and train women in home construction.
