Digitech Improves Image Retrieval
When an illegal activity occurs, law enforcement officers look for evidence. Your best protection is being able to quickly access the information or data. When you can have video images that also contain information from an access control system superimposed on the camera image, you have more complete information about the scene.

Asheville, N.C.-based Digitech’s new integration improvements, which interface the DigiGate™ software and the DigiView™ software, provide such a solution. Each activity within the access control software is assigned to a specific camera view, recorded by the company’s DigiView Digital Recording System.

“With the access control system, every time someone enters or exits a controlled area, the ID code information appears right on the video. It’s recorded and the information is stored in a database,” says Jon Loftin, Digitech vice president and systems engineer. “That makes any event in the access control system or the individual unit door alarm system instantly searchable, and then viewable, through an on-screen search.”

The access control to video integration with the proprietary Digitech system makes sure that all the images are not only saved but also are organized for immediate retrieval. They can be viewed or downloaded to a DVD for a permanent record. The software addition is available on all new units.
