FGS/PermaShine Passes Abrasion Test
Omaha, Neb.-based L&M Construction Chemicals has confirmed the durability and abrasion resistance of its patented dry-grind FGS/PermaShine Polished Concrete Floor System through a third-party certified testing laboratory. Construction Technology Laboratories (CTL) of Skokie, Ill., carried out a series of tests conforming to ASTM C 779 standards on the FGS/PermaShine System, finding that the abrasion strength of this patented dry-grind process is superior to other concrete flooring systems.
The results showed that the abrasion resistance and absorption characteristics of the FGS/PermaShine System were greatly improved over that of wellcured, hard-troweled concrete.
The abrasion test was the second set of positive results for the FGS/ PermaShine system in recent years. L&M also subjected the FGS/PermaShine System, using the penetrating hardener/densifier, FGS Hardener Plus, to independent testing by the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI), which approved and certified the system as a “high traction” floor.
These treated surfaces comply with current OSHA and ADA recommendations and requirements. For more information, call (800) 362-3331 or visit www.fgs-permashine.com.
